Use of the raised funds will be displayed publicly to enable transparency with our token holders.
Token Distribution and Payments
Trend Tokens will be divided into 3 main categories as shown below:
115 Million tokens will be distributed for the token sale.
40 Million tokens will be used for acquiring users on Trendit.
40 Million tokens will be in reserve for employee incentives, advisors, airdrops and bounty programs.
Payments of Trend Tokens and Ethereum will be divided amongst content creators and TrenditStudios
50% of platform profits will be distributed to TrenditStudios to support development.
A collection of smart contracts will be used to distribute payments.
50% of platform profits will be paid to Trendit users based on their created content.
Token Use on the Trendit Platform
Trendit's core functionality will be built around maximizing Trend Token use as described below:
Promotional Discounts
The Trendit platform will offer payment and advertising discounts for payments made using Trend Tokens. For example a clothing company is charged 100,000$ by Trendit to promote their new trend. If the company chooses to pay in Trend Tokens, TrenditStudios will offer them a 20% discount, saving them 20,000$.
Trustless Payments
Everytime payments are made using Trend Tokens, our payment smart contract will automatically burn half of the tokens used in the payment. This process will continue until only 100 Million trend tokens remain in circulation.
User Acquisition
Every week the smart contract will calculate the total number of new pledges each user accumulates, and pay them a share from the available user acquisition tokens. Once the platform reaches a profitability threshold, Trendit will start paying users 50% of platform profits in Ethereum along with Trend Tokens. Rewarding people has been a proven method to acquire a strong user base.
Trend tokens are meant to be used for purchasing advertising space, promoting content and acquiring data. Trend tokens are not meant for speculation and TrenditStudios does not in any way guarantee the value of these tokens.
